The Ministry of Defense of the State of Qatar has announced the identities of those who lost their lives following a helicopter crash in the country’s territorial waters at dawn on Sunday.
Confirmed Martyred:
- Captain (Pilot) Mubarak Salem Daway Al-Marri
- Sergeant Fahad Hadi Ghanem Al-Khayarin
- Corporal Mohammed Maher Mohammed
- Major Sinan Taştekin (Qatar–Turkey Joint Forces)
- Suleiman Cemra Kahraman (Turkish civilian)
- Ismail Anas Can (Turkish civilian)
Missing:
- Captain (Pilot) Saeed Nasser Samekh
In an official statement, the ministry confirmed that search and rescue operations have resulted in the recovery of several victims, who have been declared deceased.

The victims include Captain (Pilot) Mubarak Salem Daway Al-Marri, Sergeant Fahad Hadi Ghanem Al-Khayarin, and Corporal Mohammed Maher Mohammed of the Qatar Armed Forces.
Also among the deceased are Major Sinan Taştekin from the Qatar–Turkey Joint Forces, as well as Turkish civilian collaborators Suleiman Cemra Kahraman and Ismail Anas Can, who were passengers on board the helicopter.
Authorities stated that search efforts remain ongoing to locate Captain (Pilot) Saeed Nasser Samekh of the Qatar Armed Forces, who is still missing.
Specialized rescue teams continue intensive operations in the crash area as part of coordinated efforts to complete the recovery mission.
The Ministry of Defense expressed its deepest condolences to the families of the victims, offering prayers for mercy upon the deceased and strength and patience for their loved ones during this difficult time.
