Today, we remember a young woman whose light was taken from the world far too soon. Amanda Decker—a beloved daughter, niece, sister, cousin, best friend—has passed away following a tragic accident.
Amanda wasn’t just part of her family; she was family to so many beyond blood. One woman shared:
“I gave birth to four girls, but I always said I had five. Amanda was one of them. Her heart, her laughter, her presence were unforgettable.”
Amanda battled for her life in the days after her tragedy. She was surrounded by hope and prayers from friends and relatives. To help her family deal with this unthinkable situation, they started a GoFundMe, and the reaction was amazing—more than $50,000 has been raised, demonstrating the sheer number of people Amanda affected.
Her aunt revealed:

A heartbroken best friend composed a memorial that brought many people to tears:
“Amanda, you were more than simply my closest friend; you were my soulmate and my person. It was you who gave me a sense of acceptance and love. We shared everything from the second grade till maturity. Together, we mapped out our futures. We envisioned ourselves growing old together. Without you, I couldn’t breathe; you were my left lung. When you departed, a part of me died.
At 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, 2025, Amanda Decker departed from this life. That day, Heaven gained a lovely angel. Every individual she touched will carry on her memory.
