James “Jim” Pellys, regional sales director at Armor Code, has been caught on camera keying a Tesla Cybertruck at the Omni Mount Washington Resort in New Hampshire.

The incident, which is being investigated as a Class A felony, was recorded by Tesla’s built-in surveillance system, leading to viral footage that has shocked social media users.

Suspect: James “Jim” Pellys
Location: Omni Mount Washington Resort, NH
Incident: Captured on Tesla’s built-in cameras

Carroll Police Chief Tad Bailey confirmed that law enforcement responded to the report of vandalism just before 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The case is now being investigated by the Carroll Police Department and the Coös County Attorney’s Office.

“The incident is under investigation by us and the Coös County Attorney’s Office,” Chief Bailey stated.

No formal arrests or charges have been announced yet, but Class A felony charges are pending.

A viral video posted by Tesla owner Carrie Pula on X shows police questioning two men at the scene.

Officer: “You didn’t key that Tesla?”
Suspect: “No.”
Officer: “The incident was recorded.”

The footage, which has racked up over 3 million views, clearly contradicts Pellys’ denial.

Tesla enthusiasts and social media users are calling for consequences, with many demanding that Armor Code terminate Pellys’ employment.

One person wrote:
“Jim Pellys, the regional sales director for Armor Code, was caught keying a Cybertruck. He denies it, then is told he’s on Tesla Gotcha Cam. What a sleazebag. Hopefully, he loses his job and gets a hefty sentence.”

Tesla Cybertrucks come equipped with up to seven cameras mounted on the tailgate, doors, windshield, front wheel, and bumper, all of which can upload footage to smartphones in real time. In this case, the built-in surveillance caught Pellys in the act, potentially securing legal repercussions for the vandalism.

Ongoing Investigation

  • Police and the Coös County Attorney’s Office are still reviewing evidence.

  • Possible felony charges: Vandalizing property in NH can be classified as a Class A felony, carrying serious legal consequences.

  • Armor Code’s Response: Many are awaiting a statement from Armor Code Inc., with calls for Pellys to be fired immediately.

With video evidence exposing the crime, Jim Pellys is facing serious scrutiny both legally and professionally. As the investigation unfolds, all eyes are on law enforcement and Armor Code’s next move.
