Speaking on The Megyn Kelly Show, she said she had been praying that she might be carrying another child at that very moment, a hope she clung to as tragedy unfolded, as per a report.<\/p>\n

The couple had long dreamed of expanding their family. \u201cWe wanted to have four, and I was praying to God that I was pregnant when he got murdered,\u201d she said. For Erika, the thought felt like the one blessing that could come from such a devastating loss. “I was like, \u2018Oh, goodness, that was going to be the ultimate blessing out of this catastrophe.'”<\/p>\n

Erika Kirk explained that the possibility of being pregnant had offered her a small measure of comfort. She said both she and Charlie had been praying and excited about trying for another baby before he was killed by a sniper on September 10 at a\u00a0Turning Point USA event<\/a>\u00a0at Utah Valley University, as per a report.<\/p>\n
