As she finished her medley performance, the Latin crossover queen acknowledged the song’s timeless appeal by joking, “Happy 40th birthday Conga you know what you still got it.” She then sang her new song, Lavina Noina, from her upcoming album Rises, dedicating it to all those nosy neighbors that we love.
Throughout her career, Estafan received two AMA nominations: one for best pop rock female artist in 1994 and another for favorite pop rock song in 1990 for “Don’t Want to Lose You.” Estafan hasn’t performed on the AMA stage in more than 30 years.the event also honored the Latina icon in 2000 with an award of merit
