In a world that often feels dim, some people shine so brightly that their presence leaves a permanent glow. Lopez Davis was one of those lights. Yesterday, 514 Church and the broader Columbus community said goodbye to a friend, a brother, an artist, and a source of pure joy.
Remembering Lopez Davis
Lopez Davis, a photographer, content producer, and MVNU alumnus, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of joy, light, and love। Lopez went to Mount Vernon Nazarene University to study public relations and marketing, where he was a proud member of the Collegian’s Chorale। His passionate and appreciative voice, as seen in this 2014 performance of For Every Mountain, touched people।514 The church said in, “Lope was a light in every room—a steady presence and a true friend।” He brought so many of us warmth, laughter, and joy। We understand that he is complete, at peace, and surrounded by eternal love with Jesus। ”
On June 5th, a memorial service will be held at 514 Church in Columbus। Reception starts at 4:30 p.m., and celebration service starts at 6:00 p.m। It will be a time to remember, think about, and thank for a good life।
The friend said, “If you had the honor of knowing Lopez, you were blessed।” He lived a loud life, singing, laughing, and loving। ”
Another wrote:
“Your smile and laughter will forever be missed. I just know he’s up in heaven, singing for all the angels.”
Lopez Davis was more than just a creator. He was a creator of joy, of memories, of connection. And though he’s gone too soon, his impact—like his voice—will echo forever.
