
Real Betis lost the Conference League final because Anthony seemed to get away with headbutting Enzo Fernandez in the final moments of the Blues’ 4-1 victory. After a late challenge, Fernandez was left on the deck as the clock reached ninety minutes, and Anthony was seen handing him up. The winger for Betis then appeared to toss his head in the direction of the Argentine as he leaned down. Anthony was given a yellow card after the assistant’s attempt to intervene was rejected due to his role in the subsequent altercation. The 25-year-old was spared further punishment, though, since VAR decided not to look into the incident.

Another person said, “Anthony doesn’t even get a yellow for headbutting Enzo.” A third statement was made, “That altercation between Anthony and Enzo, for his headbutt, Anthony ought to have received a second yellow card in my opinion.”
Anthony was sent out on loan to Betis in January after he had notably accrued more yellow cards than goals for United. The Brazilian has established himself in Spain, contributing seven goals in 17 La Liga games. He was unable to lead Betis to victory in Poland, though, as Chelsea upped the ante in the second half.
The Blues appeared lethargic and indifferent in the first half, and Abdalzuli had handed Betis a well-earned lead. A blatantly angry Malo Gusto was pulled off when Enzo Maresca ran the changes at halftime. Fernandez headed in the equalizer as his troops broke down Betis in 20 minutes. Minutes later, Chelsea took the lead thanks to a close-range header from Nicolas Jackson. The trophy was achieved by outstanding late goals from Moises Caicedo and Jadon Sancho.
